Welcome to the website of Joypurhat Rural Development Movement (JRDM), the leading Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) of Bangladesh.  JRDM started its mission in 1995 with the aims to improve the life quality of the people living at the bottom of the socio-economic pyramid and establish a society free from poverty and economic disparity.

Joypurhat Rural Development Movement (JRDM) focuses mainly the comprehensive development of the geographical area of Joypurhat district. It emphasizes on the activities which contribute to alleviate   poverty in the shape of non-profit and non-government approach keeping the aim of developing the rural area of the district on top.

Presently, JRDM renders multifaceted services to more than 0.5 million people of Bangladesh as well as underprivileged people of countries. Besides microfinance program, the organization has been operating quite a number of non-financial programs counting Primary Healthcare, Education, Health Awareness, Sanitation, Hygiene, Agricultural aids etc. out of its own resources and financial support from PKSF . Millions of poor and underprivileged are benefited as a result of these initiatives. Currently, nearly 0.5 million people of Bangladesh are deriving benefit from the services and activities of JRDM.

A developed society where everybody enjoying equal rights without any affiliation to any politics, religion and race.

4 .Mission

Creation of a society where the poor, particularly the poor women are organized and made aware and conscious of their rights and obligations. They are gradually empowered and made competent and self reliant and are able to meet their basic needs by utilizing their own potentials and resources and their dependence on men is gradually reduced. The children are given proper care and education for their development as worthy citizen in future.

5. Goal

JRDM is effectively contributing for the empowerment of vulnerable people, especially poor, extreme poor and distressed women for socio-psycho-economic condition changes in their livelihood.
