1. JRDM Health Program
Health Service Program: Provision of primary health care to the beneficiaries through the organization’s own funding in each branch through doctors who have completed the MATs course.
39 Health Officers in JRDM Different Branches have been rendering health care services through domiciliary visits 20 households day in a routine manner every month. During households visit they collect specific information as per guideline & empowerment with special focus on pregnant women.
The Health Officers also provide health related services like, measurement of blood pressure, test of diabetics, pregnant etc. They also hold courtyard meetings with women beneficiaries and discuss about ante-natal and child care issues, prevention and control of primary discuses, vitamin enriched food, personal hygiene, cleanliness and environmental sanitation.
2. JRDM Scholarship
To increase the rate of education and the poor and helpless
In order to facilitate the path of higher education for meritorious students, JRDM has been providing educational scholarships of 37,000 thousand taka per month to 21 general students and three university students out of social responsibility. Also poor meritorious students are given one time assistance for examination fee, purchase of books and admission.
3. Sanitation Program
The Government of Bangladesh (GoB) intends to implement the Bangladesh Rural Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Human Capital Development Project with financial support from the World Bank (WB) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to reform institutions and improve WASH services that meet the ‘safely-managed’ services in line with SDG targets of 6.1 and 6.2. The Project Development Objectives are to: (i) improve access and quality of water supply, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services in selected areas of rural Bangladesh, and (ii) strengthen sector policy and institutional capacity. Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and the Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) will implement specific components of this project.
4. Social Development
The Charity and Welfare Program of JRDM, following social responsibility and humanity viewpoint, has been erecting up a wide range of activities to engender constructive outcomes in favor of creating a way and environment of putting the destitute families into well-off circle, which directly and indirectly take the root of development with longevity.
Initiatives under the program of the organization are comprised of providing grant-at-aid to the underprivileged families for expensive treatment, disaster and rehabilitation, daughters marriage, educational expenses and so on; extending financial supports for the social infrastructure development, especially–paving up and repairing roads, culverts and bridges, installing public toilets and tube-wells, establishing schools, colleges, madrasas and mosques, purchasing furniture and equipment’s and the like; paying up financial assistance to the sports and cultural activities of different organizations and educational institutes, particularly–observance of national and international days, arrangement of sports, cultural, religious, traditional events and festivals and so forth; and eradicating begging in selected area. In 2023-24, Tk. 0.70 crore was granted under the program.
